Fix Description: | The default application for .GIF and .JPGs is Internet Explorer; this application uses a technique called DDE to open files. When you changed the file association to point to PixWizard, something got messed up and Windows is still trying to use DDE. In Explorer, go to View|Options, click on the File Types Tab. Scroll down to GIF Image, click on Edit..., then on New..., and add the details for Image Composer; in the "Application used to perform action" box you want the full path + filename of PixWizard, enclosed in quotes followed by "%1": "C:\Program Files\PixVision Software\PixWizard\pixwiz.exe" "%1" Click OK, then "Set as Default", then OK back out. An alternative to this technique is to open up Windows Explorer, then choose Tools/FolderOptions. Click on the File Types tab. Locate the extension you want to change. Click on Advanced. Then click on Edit. Then make sure the "Use DDE" box is unchecked. |
